Now Many of students are told that they need to connect their shorter sentences  or that they feel they would like to connect their Task 2 observations better. Here is how….
There are two rules that use for connectors:

WHAT ARE THE 2 CONNECTOR FOR WRITING TASK 2 ?

1.Argument Connectors:

Use connectors to move from one topic to another within your answer.



Argument:(here) logic and direction of someone’s discussion

2.Information Connectors:

Find two of your observations on the same characteristic and choose a phrase that shows their logical connection.



COHERENCE AND COHESION
                  This criterion is concerned with the overall clarity and fluency of the message:how to response organises and links information, ideas and language. Coherence refers to linking of ideas through logical sequencing. Cohesion refers to varied and appropriate use of cohesive devices (for example,logical connectors, linking words, pronouns and conjunction) used to create the conceptual and referential relationship or to make links between and within sentences clear.

Important information for the word count in IELTS WRITING

♦The most important information for all candidates is about the Underlenghth penalty. In IELTS, if your response  falls short by upto 10 words i.e. of your task 1 response is the range of 141 to 149 words, no bands will be deducted. The same is true  for task 2 , if your essay response is in the range of 241 to 249 wors, no bands will be deducted. However, I strongly insist the candidates to write the required number of words in their response that is 150 words in task 1 and 250 words in task 2.

♦Hyphenated words like ex- student, anti-religion, all-inclusive, above-mentioned, and so on are counted as one word
♦Contractions are also counted as one word. For example, if you write I am, it will be counted as two words but if you write I’m, it will be counted as one word
♦symbols and abbreviations are always counted as one word, for example, I. E, BC, AD, and so on
♦All the dates are always counted in the following manner, one word (31_01_2013) two words (31st january) and three words 31st january, 2013)
♦some students think that articles like a, an, and the are not counted in IELTS writing. But they are counted

What you should do while writing task 2

1.use only formal language, informal language is not all entertained in writing task 2.

2.please read the essay at least 3_4 times.

3.please follow the points given earlier before you start writing.

4.write at least 4 paragraphs in your essay where the first is introduction, the next two eill form the body and the last will contain the conclusion of your essay.

5.if you want a high band score (6more) please try to use complex sentences in your writing.

6.you should use linking words and connectors to link your information logically. (A list of such words is given in section 4 of this book).
